It is that time of year again! This little red hen was hatched at the library in 2009. She is a broody hen and wants to hatch eggs. She sits on any egg she can find. We brought her to the Z'GreenFest on Sunday, April 17th and she visited with children. She was also a great visual aid for the Princesses telling of the Little Red Hen!
Where are the eggs that will be hatching at the library in May? They are in an incubator at Purdue University. When they are almost ready to hatch Doug Akers, our Extension Educator, will bring them to the Library in a warm Brood Box. We will watch them hatch May 2-7th. The week goes by fast! Make sure to stop by the Library or visit the Live Camera on our webpage.
