We have had an exciting day! Eight chicks have hatched and more will hatch tonight.
We will have to keep an eye on them via the web camera tonight.

HH Blog Post Update May 1st, 2012

For a while, the chicks have been growing huge wing feathers, so they have been trying jump out of and onto everything. The last time we got them out, we first had to put them in the shoe box we put the lid on but one of them pushed off the lid and jumped out of the shoe box! We picked her up and put her on the towel and did the same with the others.
They have also been growing tail feathers and combs! That’s all I have to type bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are writing to update you on our chicks. We are having so much fun with them! We can't believe how big they are getting. They are growing more feathers and they are definitely trying to fly around everywhere.
Sometimes when we open the cage to take them out we are afraid they will try to jump out or fly out before we can get them out, it's kind of funny. We just have to be quicker than They are!
Another thing we have noticed is that their cage gets really stinky! We clean it every morning before school and every night before bed. They are also drinking a lot of water so we have to check their water a lot of times each day.
Well, so far so good!

Lemon is the craziest, Fuzz is the calmest, and Popcorn just runs around. They are all doing great!
